This is the last days of the twenties and, my word, has it come quick. At least we’ve had CFB 2026 to help fill our time, amiright? Despite the fact it has a questionably accurate depth chart and at least one receiver on the roster that no longer is. Anyway…

With 20 days until kickoff we have — Cornerback Davon Banks

#20, Davon Banks, RS Senior, Cornerback

Height: 5′ 11″

Weight: 188 lbs (+8)

Previous school: Washington

How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?

A pretty quick turnaround transfer from the University of Washington to Boise State. He had announced he was in the transfer portal in April and by the end of May he had committed to the Broncos. To answer your burning question: Yes, he did play in that game against Boise State in 2023 that we’d like to forget and (unfortunately…or fortunately) played pretty well! He had a season ending injury a couple games later and then ended up on The Blue for 2024.

A young Dr. Dre.

Career Highlights

He ran a 10.78 100m in high school track and was his conference MVP in football. At UW, he was a solid player but had bad injury luck. Last season, at BSU, he had 35 tackles, 1 sack, and 5.5 TFLs. By far, his best highlight was last season when he returned an INT 70 yards for a TD vs San Jose State

2025 Prospectus

Banks will be a key part of the Boise State defensive backfield and might even be the top option at nickel.

Is he on Twitter?

Completely made up fact

Despite the name, Davon has a deep distrust of financial institutions, ever since he saw The Big Short. As a result, he hides all his money in his mattress…which has an extra layer of security, since it’s a waterbed. Thankfully, ziploc bags exist!
