I would say it’s Joe Montana days til the season, but as a Seahawks fan, I’m gonna say it’s Tyler Lockett days until the season. Y’all stay patient, now.
#16, Kaleb Annett, RS Freshman, QB

Stats
Height: 6–3
Weight: 195
High school: Corona del Mar HS (Newport Beach, CA)
How’d he get to The Blue™?
247 gives a fairly light look into his recruiting history. It does indicate he was yet another Ivy League consideration, which is quite a fun list we have going there. Alas, Princeton didn’t have blue turf and Boise State did, so the signature went to the Broncos.
Nickname
“Kant”
This is a good one to re-use because Annett is a French/German name, and Immanuel Kant was German. That said, Kant was a pretty annoying dude from what I can tell, so I’d prefer to misremember him for N’golo Kante, CDM best known for playing with Chelsea and France. He also played for Leicester City during the most improbable championship in professional sporting history, so Kaleb could really double up on this with a Boise State natty.
Look-alike

Lookalike machine has presented new Superman actor, David Corenswet. Can Kaleb fly? Not yet, but it could be a quite useful ability should he develop that skill.

2025 Prospectus
Annett is in the thick of a battle for the QB2 spot at the moment. It was widely assumed after the Spring Game that he had moved ahead of Cutforth, but Coach Danielson indicated after scrimmage one that Cutforth had outplayed him. Still time for change, but regardless, my preference is that for 2025 we only see either QB in the second half of blowouts.
Is he on Twi/X?
You can find him at the aptly named @KalebAnnett. Another seasoned retweeter.
Completely made up fact
Kaleb has a sneaker collection, but only for one type of shoe—the Air Monarch. Certainly fatherhood is in the cards for him someday.

I agree with you on his prospects for this year. He has two years of Bronco culture under his belt. He should be ready to plug and play. And who knows, when some guys get a chance to play with the big boys, they play like a big boy.
