How’d he get to The Blue™?

Marshall had a bit of a windy path to this year’s starting X spot. He was a 5-star recruit out of high school, eventually signing with Texas A&M. He saw some solid action his true freshman campaign, including 3 catches for 40 yards in their upset of #1 Alabama. Two separate suspensions for violations of team rules derailed his opportunities—including his spot on the Texas A&M basketball team. From there, he made stops at Ole Miss and Kilgore College before finally making it to the City of Trees. Taking on Marshall was initially considered to be probationary, but he was eventually added to the team.

“The Sheriff”

This town ain’t big enough for another Chris Marshall, which makes sense because the dude is big.

Today, the lookalike machine drew one who many consider to be the G.O.A.T. of world soccer, a man simply known as Pele. Maybe one day, we’ll simply call Chris Marshall “Chris”.

Career Highlights

I don’t think I’ve ever been able to share a 2 minute clip of a player of the UA All-American game in HS, so that’s kinda fun. That said, let’s hope we get some highlights in blue & orange this year.

2025 Prospectus

If camp reports are to believed, Chris Marshall might just be the Greatest Thing Ever™. The constant refrain from coaches during camp has been that he “has to be consistent”. Now off in a plane to Tampa, signals have sent that the requisite consistency has been reached to begin the hype train. Coaches and players have been calling him “Julio Jones” and “Megatron”, and honestly? I would take “2017 Cedrick Wilson”. Either way, expectations are sky high for Marshall who very well could make 2025 a special season.

Nope. Might be the only one on the team without one!

Completely made up fact

Chris never played Clash of Clans growing up, so please quit asking him about that. Admittedly, he did play some OG Angry Birds and Temple Run, and yes, he too was a victim of Flappy Bird mania.
