Gameday Eve, everyone! JUST ONE DAY LEFT! Today, we will be highlighting Mr. Dubar
#1, Jambres “Breezy” Dubar, Junior, Running Back

Stats
Height: 6’0″
Weight: 205
High school: Anna High School (Anna, TX)
How’d he get to The Blueâ„¢?
With a whoooole lot of fanfare and–after a late push from Deion Sanders and Colorado–a fair amount of trepidation that he would actually sign. According to 247sports, he was a four star recruit and the 19th-rated running back in the country.
Nickname
“Breezy”
Not positive where it came from or why he’s called that; I assume the long “e” part of Jambres? I just know it’s his Twitter handle and it’s a much better nickname than “Windy”
Look-alike

Current Ole Miss running backs coach and former UCF and Detroit Lions running back, Kevin Smith. The man whose 2,567 rushing yards in 2007 fell just 62 short of Barry Sanders‘s college rushing record. Here’s hoping Dubar breaks BOTH of those marks in one of his years at Boise State 😈
Career Highlights
He had an incredibly prolific high school career. As a senior, he racked up a statline of 1,619 yards rushing and 19 TDs (8.2 yards per carry) to go along with 346 receiving yards and another 4 scores. He was also a track athlete.
Across two seasons as a Bronco, Breezy has accumulated 87 carries for 434 yards and 4 TDs at a solid 5.0 yards per carry. He’s added 8 receptions for a total of 29 yards.
If you’d like to see some of the highlights that made him a 4-star prospect, you can view them from his *junior* year here.
2025 Prospectus
His time here has not yet played out the way he would likely prefer. He’s had bad injury luck and suffered last year from a small case of “being a backup to the 2nd leading rusher in college football history”. However, he is indisputably talented. So much so that former offensive coordinator, Bush Hamdan, once specifically said about Dubar, “I think he’s got huge huge upside here. I think that guy’s got a chance to be one of the more special players to come through this program”. With Sherrod, Gaines, and Riley currently atop the first published depth chart at the position, he has his work cut out for him to leave his mark this season. But he can’t be counted out. Again…he was once the 19th best high school running back in the entire country. If he can avoid any injury setbacks, he will certainly be called upon to contribute. Also worth noting that he played as a true freshman, so he still has a redshirt available.
Is he on Twitter?
Yes. And taking to the Treasure Valley quite well, it seems.
Completely made up fact
Jambres has a deal with Jacksons/Extra Mile where customers can get a hot dog and a soda for only a dollar. However, he also has a less known campaign, centered on a personal feud with the Cheetos mascot. After some corny and unfunny shots taken at Dubar by Chester Cheetah, Jambres responded simply by turning Cheetos’ slogan back on his antagonist at said “At least it’s not cheesy being Breezy”
…and then he walked away slowly toward the camera as Chester Cheetah’s mind and ego simultaneously exploded in a giant (cheesy) fireball behind him.

#1!!!
Great job!
About Breezy: Injuries, yuck! Hope he hits his stride and demonstrates his potential.
