A little late on this one but better late than never!

Also, had quite a few on this one given the solid performances by some Broncos.

Game Ball One:

Dylan Riley

Mr. Riley had 18 carries for 101 net yards. No TDs but did lead both teams in net yardage (which wasn’t that difficult considering the leading rusher for New Mexica (Damon Bankston) only had 18 net yards. But a 5.6 yards per rush average is awesome.

Game Ball Two:

Sire Gaines

Mr. Gaines “only” had 67 yards on 20 rushes BUT two of those attempts came with two touchdowns. Certainly can’t argue with the results. Having one of the deepest backfields in the Mountain West is so comforting.

Game Ball Three:

Ben Ford

Ford Tough had six catches for 78 yards and was Mr. Clutch with two touchdowns. He’s been a reliable target for Mad Dog and certainly deserves his flowers.

Game Ball Four:

Troy Grizzle

Talk about seizing the moment and making the most of it. Mr. Grizzle has played primarily special teams this year and made sure he cashed in on a “busted” field goal attempt with a touchdown. Sure “busted” play. That’s what they want you to think. Anyway, good to see the Mountain View High school alum make a name for himself on a heads up play.

Game Ball Five:

Oscar Doyle

Who better to end this with than the guy that came through in the clutch with the throw. Mr. Doyle had a 100% completion rate (1-1), 10 yards, and one TD. That’s good for a whopping 514 rating. Do I smell a QB controversy?! Anyway, it was a super-cool moment and I am glad it worked out well for everyone involved. Except for New Mexico of course.

Your Turn

How’d I do? Let me know in the comments.
