If you do the math, Boise State Media day means Fall Camp is right around the corner, and Fall Camp basically means football season is here which is to say, essentially, football season is staring now. Just 6(ish) weeks!

As for today, we got Mr. Syncere Brackett-Lambey:

#44, Syncere Brackett-Lambey, Sophomore, LB

Stats

Height: 6’2

Weight: 223

High school: Centennial HS (Compton, CA)

How’d he get to The Blue™?

If you’ll allow me to be several years behind the trends, Syncere came to Boise straight outta Compton. (Yeah, that joke really wasn’t worth it).

Alas, the 3 star had interest from a few different schools, but according to 24/7 had his only listed offer from Boise State. This is likely because once he had an offer in hand, small schools like Ohio State and USC would just be wasting their time trying to court him. Although the even more likely scenario is that 24/7 just got that part wrong.

Nickname

“Megatron”

Offenses need to use Brackett coverage if they want to stop Syncere.

Look-alike

Honestly there’s a lot of good ones, but the lookalike machine insisted on Meek Mill.

Career Highlights

Brackett appeared in 11 games as a true freshman, picking up two tackles, including a TFL against Eastern Washington.

2026 Prospectus

Spencer Danielson loves to talk about this dude, and it’s hard not to be encouraged by the lad getting some significant snaps as a freshman. Expectations are certainly growing around town. A breakout season in year 2 could be exactly what the doctor ordered (I am the doctor here).

Is he on Twitter?

@BrackettSyncere, honestly more tweets than most, which is to say >1 per year.

Completely made up fact

Syncere was actually named Insyncere as a baby. His parents told him as a boy that he had to earn his name, and would be Insyncere until then. The big day came on his 16th birthday when his parents took him to the courthouse for the change.
