How’d he get to The Blue™?
Still the same ol’ story as last year’s entry. Dude did good in high school. Three-star prospect on 247Sports. Boise State offered. He accepted. Simple. As. That.
Nickname
“T-Bone”
Heard tell he wanted to really influence his nickname with good ol’ t-bone steak.
Look-alike

Gonna be honest: I did pretty decent last year with the Jack Palance pick.
Career Highlights
While on the Blue he’s got four receptions and 40 yards. 29 of those came from one catch. So that’s cool.
He did make Academic All-Mountain West last fall. That’s impressive.
2023 Prospectus
The tight ends–as a position group–have been struggling a bit. Riley Smith held his own last year. Tyneil Hopper did some good stuff too, but he decided to take his talents elsewhere. Going into this year there is going to be some hankering for tight ends to get involved one way or another. Lauter may be able to nab some more receptions, but it may be a bit sketchy on that front. Broncos will have a formidable ground game. And the receiving core is super-talented. Cross some fingers here, folks.
Is he on Twitter?
Completely made up fact
Right now the “it” game is Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Mr. Lauter loves this game. In fact, not only has he beaten the main story line, but he’s also found all the Korok seeds AND finished all the shrines. Truly dedicated to this game.
What happened today #86?
The look-a-like is spot on. Lauter is the tight end of the future. Very solid and gets down field quickly. His hands look good.
