On Friday, Boise State will be back at home to take on the San Diego State Aztecs. In anticipation of that event, here is the updated depth chart released by the school, enhanced by links to our Countdown articles (for the majority of players), as well as a pronunciation guide.

Notable Notes
- Chris Marshall and Ben Ford are no longer listed in bold at WR-X, behind Strachan (bold ostensibly denoting “co-starter”). Did Prince’s big catch vs UNLV solidify it for him?
- Likewise, Penry is no longer listed in bold behind Caples. Does that mean Caples is back to 100% health? Because three weeks ago, it was considered a minor miracle that he was able to suit up, since earlier in the week he apparently couldn’t lift his hand above his shoulder (according to Maddux).
- Austin Bolt also no longer listed in bold, behind Cameron Camper. Apparently they’re just doing some clean-up to the WR depth? And, to be honest, it feels a little silly sometimes to even mention, but these are trackable alterations–no matter how minor–that someone at Boise State is intentionally making. So, as long as they keep doing it, I’ll keep doing my best to notice and make note of it.
- Dylan Riley has replaced Sire Gaines as the backup to Ashton Jeanty at running back. Jambres “Breezy” Dubar rounds out the top three.
- Taren Schive is unbolded at the second punter and holder slots, seeming to signal a full return by Craig Ferguson-Reynolds
- Cameron Bates no longer listed in bold at the second punt returner spot.

Danielson made a comment at the presser that made it sound as if Gains might return sometime this season. Yet, I heard somebody say they saw him on the sidelines in a boot and going around on a scooter.
Poor guy. ☹️
