We are so close to gameday it’s almost unbearable! Now that we’ve completed almost all of the Countdown articles, we wanted to put out a depth chart that would be more functional than most in years past.
Ordinarily, it’s just a document for quick reference regarding who is officially listed each week on the two-deep by the school. And, as we all know, it doesn’t always strictly match reality on gameday. So, in order to make this a more useful recurring feature, we have linked each spot on the two-deep to the corresponding player’s Countdown article. Some don’t have a link yet because their Countdown article has not yet been written–we still have a few days to go, after all–but we will update this chart each week if any changes are announced by the coaching staff.
Additionally, and brand new to this season, we’ve included a pronunciation guide provided by Boise State in order to help you sound extra smart when having talks around the water cooler (or, these days, on video conference calls) with all your football friends. Be on guard though, because if you’re already here, you’re already among the smartest football fans in the country! So, don’t get too drunk on your elevated powers of fanhood. Maybe just use your powers responsibly and maintain a healthy “buzz”
No matter what, though, enjoy!

Notable Notes
- DJ Schramm has moved full-time to Middle Linebacker and Andrew Simpson is now the full-time starter at Will
- Seyi Oladipo has fully transitioned into the starting nickel, replacing Tyreque Jones from last year
- Alexander Teubner has apparently outcompeted a lot of really talented safeties, including a Big 10 transfer that was a borderline 4 star, to become the starter opposite Rodney Robinson
- Mason Randolph was expected to be a starter on the offensive line and is currently not even listed on the depth chart.
- Two freshmen are listed on the two deep on the offensive line
- Not necessarily a surprise, but just worth taking note: Jaylen Clark won the second corner spot across from Markel and he is HUGE for a corner. Could be handy in an opener vs three extremely talented wide receivers…

The curious case of Mason Randolph. So much hype. So much talk about him being a foundational piece for this offensive line. Then all the sudden this….and with no explanations. Tight lips. Whatever it is they are not wanting to talk about it.
From the countdown….”As long as Mr. Randolph can stay healthy (WHY WOULD I PUT ANY OF THAT IN THE UNIVERSE) he should be guiding the offensive line and making a huge impact (literally and figuratively).” Did the universe respond? Was she upset about how good our line was looking? Did it seem unfair to others?
On a lighter note….FOOTBALL!!! I am so excited! I love this time of year. Football time. Go broncos!!!
