Notable Notes
- Only really one notable change: A’Marion McCoy is now listed as the starting field side corner…and that’s pretty much it!

There’s an OR between Taylen Green and CJ Tiller. Are we going back to a 2 qb setup?
That was there last week as well.
With regard to some positions, they give just a general idea. Some positions are fluid or situational.
I noticed that as well. I must have missed that last week. Maybe it was just on the template from before when Mad Dog was on the roster. I can’t imagine Tiller is already at an OR status…????
Either way…Go Broncos!!
Yeah, that was a mistake. There’s not.
It looks as if Austin and Prince will be the two intermediate to long-pass targets for the future. However, I’m still of the opinion that Taylen will be best utilized as a receiver; that’s if he can catch a ball. He does do a good job of pulling down those high snaps. If Maddog were still playing, many of those snaps would be over his head. Last year Taylen lined up as a flanker for one play. The NFL has several successful wide receivers who were QBs in college. If memory serves, the great Nick Patti transferred to UCF and… Read more »
It has been a wild couple weeks, with some necessary lows (firing of a true-blue, but underperforming Avalos), some great wins, and a renewed chance to get a MWC championship. One thing that hasn’t changed – Green does NOT have college-level passing skills. I know he is a true freshman, but I hope the OR between Green/Tiller means we are going to get a few opportunities to see what Tiller can do. Particularly, I’d like to see his arm (strength, mechanics, “touch”, etc.).
I agree that green lacks high level passing skills. But in the end I think that he gives us the best chance to win. We aren’t going to win tight games with good teams, but we are capable of offensive explosions like we saw last week. I believe that gets us to the mountain west championship game. At this point I don’t think putting in another QB helps us. Green is our guy and we need to let him do his thing. It’s too late in the season for finding out what we have in the third or fourth tier.… Read more »
Frankly, I really like Maddog. Yeah, I get the stuff about him being short. (Madsen’s recruiting profile at 247 has him listed at 6’0″.)We just want him to be a good college QB, not a pro QB. For example, ole noodle arm, Kellen Moore. Taylen’s future is not at QB. I don’t know what BSU has cooking beyond Maddog. We hear good things about Tiller but we heard good things about Patti too. The kid they recruited this year doesn’t appear the be the creme de la creme. Who knows, maybe a diamond in the rough. I’ve been thinking the… Read more »
Well the coaches should know what we have in the third and fourth spots. If Madsen was squarely second then I don’t know that either of the other guys will help us in the passing game. Madsen was a good passer but certainly did freshman things. If the either two options aren’t better (and we assume they aren’t or they would have been starting or higher on the depth chart), then putting them in the game doesn’t help us. Also, why you keep suggesting Patti wasn’t the greatest Bronco quarterback of our generation?!?! I think that’s quite the insult to… Read more »
I wish to amend my remarks about Kaleb Annette, the QB recruited in the 2224 class. A closer examination of him reveals he’s a pretty good QB. I watched his Jr. season highlights. This year he is making heads turn.
Happy thanksgiving fam!!
Go Broncos!!
